{"id":5895,"date":"2016-03-06T20:35:47","date_gmt":"2016-03-06T10:05:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wetshutter.com\/?p=5895"},"modified":"2016-03-06T20:48:21","modified_gmt":"2016-03-06T10:18:21","slug":"behind-bars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wetshutter.com\/?p=5895","title":{"rendered":"Behind Bars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When I was presented with <em><a href=\"http:\/\/fermentasian.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/fermentAsian-winelist.pdf\" title=\"the wine list\" target=\"_blank\">the wine list<\/a><\/em> I knew we were somewhere special.<\/p>\n<p>I grew up in the picturesque German heritage town of Tanunda in the Barossa Valley, a region of vineyards, wineries and winemakers. As a child the idea of an Asian restaurant anywhere in the Barossa would have skirted the realm of scandal and novelty and certainly been a place my parents would never have entertained experiencing.<\/p>\n<p>So it was with a sense of trepidation we brought my mum, now well into her eighties, to <em><a href=\"http:\/\/fermentasian.com.au\/\" title=\"FermentAsian\" target=\"_blank\">FermentAsian<\/a><\/em> in Tanunda for a family celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The food was amazing as expected but the real surprise was the wine cellar and its deep expression of wines the world over.
