For thousands of years boats have served us by enabling migration, by making fishing a viable food source for large communities; have enabled the crossing of oceans, the establishment of global trade and brought untold recreational pleasure to millions.<\/p>\n
No other craft takes us so far away from the safety of land to places impossible to reach in any other way even today.<\/p>\n
If you ever get the chance to skipper or crew a seafaring boat at least once in your life then take it.
