{"id":9013,"date":"2023-04-27T23:25:08","date_gmt":"2023-04-27T12:55:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wetshutter.com\/?p=9013"},"modified":"2023-04-27T23:25:08","modified_gmt":"2023-04-27T12:55:08","slug":"yellowtail-and-friends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wetshutter.com\/?p=9013","title":{"rendered":"Yellowtail and Friends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The very first time I dived Rapid Bay Jetty, more than thirty years ago now, I was blown away by the schools of pelagic fish that swim through the pylons.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty years ago they were probably yellowfin whiting, today they are definitely yellowfin whiting.<\/p>\n<p>What I did not see all those years ago was the school of salmon you see in the upper reaches of the pylon forest. They were a first for me on this dive. Perhaps the salmon have accompanied many of my dives, perhaps I just never looked up!<\/p>\n<p>Today on this dive the yellowtail whiting and friends simply made my day!
