{"id":9317,"date":"2024-04-22T09:34:37","date_gmt":"2024-04-21T23:04:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wetshutter.com\/?p=9317"},"modified":"2024-04-22T09:34:37","modified_gmt":"2024-04-21T23:04:37","slug":"skellig-reunion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wetshutter.com\/?p=9317","title":{"rendered":"Skellig Reunion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nearly seven years ago I got to circumnavigate the famous Skellig Michael off the south west coast of Ireland, symbol of the archangel Micheal and spiritual haven of the Mainistir Fhion\u00e1in monks that made this sacred rock their home.<\/p>\n<p>I planned to return one day with the anticipation of climbing to its pinnacle.<\/p>\n<p>Last Saturday was the reunion I never imagined.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve been in living Ireland nearly four months now and like a fish out of water I\u2019ve been pining to dive again, trading a South Australian sea for an Irish one. Considering the colder water and lack of familiarity with diving in Ireland I\u2019d almost resigned to my first Irish dive being something simple and tame, a shake down and \u2018get used to it\u2019 dive.<\/p>\n<p>Then I got a text from Micheal!
