‘Birdcages’, hidden away in Angel Place Sydney is a magical art installation where the artist, Michael Thomas Hill, has combined suspended birdcages accompanied by recorded sounds of the birds that once lived here.

Walking beneath these cages and hearing those beautiful sounds was both strange and soothing. For a brief moment the city wound its way back to a time of just bush land and bird call before the spell was broken and the city restored.
